BJ Collins

BJ Collins, a native of Jesup, Iowa, boasts nearly 15 years experience in the carpentry and building industry. BJ developed his intial carpentry skills in the highly-respected Jesup High School Building Trades program. After high school, he gained buisness management experience at Hawkeye Community College, in Waterloo; and Waldorf College, in Forest City. During his summers, BJ honed his skills working with a variety of building contractors.

In 2001, BJ started Cedar Valley Seamless Gutters, which he developed into a successful and reputable operation. He eventually sold Cedar Valley Seamless Gutters so he could devote his time to his true passion, construction.

In his spare time, BJ enjoys relaxing with family and friends, attending neighborhood barbeques, and cheering on his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Company

In 2003, BJ followed his dream and incorporated Collins Construction. Originally, Collins Construction focused primarily on roofing and siding remodels. Since then, it has evolved into a full service construction company, offering a wide range of services from simple bathroom remodels to 3,000 square foot custom homes. Collins Construction is dedicated to quality, conformance, and meeting or exceeding customer expectation.
